August 27 Catch UP!Well for any of my friends still out there.
In the past few months I have had no time to do anything.
My hubby and I both have home based businesses.
He is a welder and master fabricator.
I am a bookkeeper. I now have three fulltime clients. And of course tax season is coming fast.
When I started this at home I worked in the den. Then I moved to the office in the shop. Then I started building my own office in the old shop building.
This required a new roof. And while we are at it let's put on a big covered deck on the front of the house. So after the roof was done, and ten years worth of crap gone through, I got the BTIL to frame and wire it. We took half for the office and a small file room. And the rest for other odds and ends. I am the only one in the bunch that can even touch the insulation. So I got stuck with that task. In the meantime I had to help the Surgeon I work for close and move his office.
Remember he joined the same group the other one did.
So once I got the insulation up I put up a vapor barrier, and the drywall. The drywall tried to kill me! So texture had to go next then paint and trim and finally the flooring. It is 298 square feet in the office. My knees are starting to look right again. And the boys and hubby did not help at all do to the fact that they were all working as hard as I was in the welding shop.
Add all this to the house and kids and yard work and you can see why I have been absent.
And to top it all off I have to keep the work up.
But I guess I must like it because now I am redoing my kitchen.
I just got a new stove, fridge, washer and dryer. All stainless. Thank you Sears for 12 months no interest. Now I painted before they came in and put in a new hardwood floor. But the thing is I HATE the Yellow! Now I am going to do it over. I think a nice ambrosia.
And all this is going on while we camp and boat and we even went to South Padre Island, San Antonio, and Galveston on a week long trip that included a day at Six Flags. Dolly chased us out of SPI. Thanks a lot.
As for family the MIL now has custody of her grandson who is 12. So I take him on Tues evenings and try to do something he likes which is mainly fishing.
We have hung out with friends more this year than in all the years we have been together. But the problem is our best friends got a D! Now this is a problem for us only it seems. She is my BFF and he is the Hubby's. Plus he is one of my clients. Now this is not the problem. The problem is we have to do things with them at seperate times. If there are a lot of people they are fine being around each other. But they agree not to bring the new dates.
Why does this have to stress me?
I guess I am just so used to being around the hubby's ex that it is not a problem.
But in time it will all work out.
I hope to meet MB's new lady Kim soon. I have met the fellow DB is seeing and personally I am not sure if he isn't gay. But I guess he is not my type and as long as she is happy that is all that matters. The problem here is that hubby is not happy about being around him.
This is so hard because we had three couples that get along so well and we were all happy with the mix. Now those of you that are married know how hard it is to find friends that just work. The wives like each other and the hubbys to. And we were fine as a group of six also. We voted out the fourth couple!
MB was the only one that liked them.
And now he has ditched them.
That really sounds mean but she was such a brat and he is a perv. She got mad at us for gettiing on her butt. My hubby made a scene and told her she was trashy after she {with me and her hubby right at the same table} handed him her phone and said she wanted his opinion on these pictures. She was in her undies. My hubby is a very good man. And you better bet that if it was a stranger he would have looked. But he knows her.
We went to a party at the river Monday and they had a bikini contest. Now we all knew they would come off. And of course he watched.
And in July when D turned 18 he took him, the cuz J and his dad G, and even G's SIL B to the strip club in Tulsa. They had a good time and was in high gear for days. But D was a little freaked when the girl they got { the youngest and cuteest} to give him a lap dance turned out they went to school together.
He said he can't go there as long as she works there.
His girlfriend of two years broke up the day before his 18th Bday. Thank YOU! I was not looking forward to life with her she is a brat! Now she wants him back and he has said nope just friends.
Man he is a good kid. As for the twins 15 is tough. I might not make it.
I know you can understand.
Well I better go and save something for next time.
